The KA1RCI Repeater Network

Providing emergency communications for ARES/RACES/CERT and public service resources for more than two decades.

The Johnston Rhode Island site currently has two 350 foot towers with the primary repeater antenna at approximately 700 feet above sea level. Providing coverage in the north western part of the Rhode Island with coverage into southern Massachusetts and eastern Connecticut.

In these photos you can see a very brave engineer installing the new Repeater antennas.

The VHF/High or 220 antenna is side mounted at the 285 feet and the UHF or 440 antenna is top mounted at 350 feet.

There are three repeaters at this site on 145.190 - 223.960 - 449.325 MHz.
